Tennis: Grand-Slams adjusting to Corona-Situation in 2020

Professional Tennis is a privileged worldwide sports that can give back. Due to the coronavirus crisis the international tennis circuits have been layed off. These efforts show social responsibility and gratitude to society. 

Wimbledon 2020

The 134th Championships got canceled due to the coronavirus crisis. The All England Lawn Tennis Club states at the time:

„Our efforts will now be focused on contributing to the emergency response and supporting those affected by the coronavirus crisis“. #StayHomeSaveLives

Roger Federer publicized an empathic video subtitled „WE CHEER FOR THEM“ supporting the helpers in the crisis.

US Open 2020

Like Wimbledon the US Open helps save lives: The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center was converted into a makeshift hospital (s. below: Indoor Courts filled with beds) as New York City fights the spread of COVID-19:
