Personal Responsibility – Entrepreneur
I don’t want to give the impression that life as a tennis professional is a burden, even torture. I thoroughly enjoyed it and all of my colleagues have a lot of fun. That’s why we often accept a little more hectic pace. But: Very few tennis-pros become very rich.
Maybe I could have had more success and made more money too, if I had a manager. But I choose to be my own boss. Stringing rackets, washing clothes, planning travels – I prefered to look after these tasks myself. I functioned as an entrepreneur, employee and secretary in one person – I took on full responsibility.
